Community Group Guidelines

Welcome to the community!

Like-hearted community can play an important supporting role in your growth and wellbeing. We learn from each other. We encourage each other and we hold a deep listening space for hearing and witnessing other’s experiences.

These guidelines form the foundation for creating a culture of sharing, care, support, safety, and respect.

They apply to group classes, programs, and online forums hosted by Stephanie Ross. When using third party platforms such as Facebook and Thinkific, the community guidelines for those platforms will also apply.

The basic guidelines are:

Kindness and Respect

We all have different backgrounds and experiences. Please check in with your heart before, speaking, posting, or responding. Are your words coming from a place of respect and understanding?

Confidentiality

You are welcome to share your experiences. Please respect other’s privacy and do not share their names and stories outside of the group.

Remember that people may join the group at a later date. Anything you post will be visible to them.

When relating your own experiences involving others try using phrases such as “someone close to me” to help protect the identity of others.

Listening

Live wisdom circles and classes will have established norms for listening that will often involve pausing and reflecting before responding. In some cases, only non-verbal responses will be used.

For all forums, it’s intended that communications are open, non-judgemental, and supportive. We all have different perspectives, personal backgrounds, beliefs, and patterns.

Do your best to remain open and curious.

If triggered, please go inward and query why you may be feeling that way before choosing to respond to another or not. This applies to written posts and comments too.

Inspiration, Wisdom, Curiosity

Please do share your celebrations, learning, inspirations, and questions.

We welcome relevant images, short videos, poetry, and other forms of expression.

Inclusivity

This community welcomes and celebrates the diversity that makes us human.

We welcome the beauty of the body you are in: all shapes, sizes, ages, colors, and abilities.

We welcome your ethnic, religious, cultural, educational, and economic backgrounds.

We welcome your neurodiversity and your unique ways of being.

We welcome your gender and sexual orientation.
